I'm going to blow the lid off this place

Hello everyone! It's been a lazy day today, just returned some busted phones, went thrifting, figured out a new bus route. I'm moving this Sunday so this is going to be a hectic weekend.
Anyways, wore my new Zara tee and Trivium wedges with basic black aa leggings. Such a comfy outfit.



I got the following things at the thrift stores. I'm still wearing this cardigan while writing this, it's way too comfy and soft. I love the button details. I got the big red and gold necklace for $4, such a steal.

So we went completely wild and got married in the Vegas style.

Obsessed with the song "Pick up the phone" by "Dragonette." Cannot stop listening to it and cannot get it out of my head, it's so good!
Anyways, as promised, my 200th post is dedicated to my shopping trip. Spent most of the day at the local mall, Rideau Centre, with my friend (and beloved photographer) Anna. I got these shoes (shown in outfit pictures) from Trivium, the gothic store. Their shoe selection is really great! Anyhoo, the curve in the heel reminds me of the popular YSL heels (although their curve is on the bottom, not the back). Know what I'm talking about?
The only disappointment of the day was that my main reason for going was to get a pair of leather-like leggings from Aritzia and they had some creamy-tan ones in stock, and they were goooorgeous, but too small. Oh poop! I cheered myself up though with a "dark chocolate decadence" drink from the Godiva store though, so it's ok hahaha.

And now onto the very exciting things: new clothes! As well as the shoes above, I purchased the following two shirts from Aritzia. I absolutely love this store and even though it can be overpriced (...aka very often but still love it) I got these on sale and had giftcards from Christmas so it was all good! They're both sheer (the pink top much more so) so I'm going to have to figure out something there. Anyways, the first is a long sleeve dark blue top with small stud detailing on the front chest part and a small hole on the back. The second is a slightly cropped (you can't see belly, it's just shorter than normal shirts but a lot wider too) lilac shirt. Reminds me of mohair (is that the right word?).

The following things are from Zara! The first is a semi-sheer (why do I buy so much sheer stuff?) t-shirt that would look great with pants or a skirt but is long enough to wear over opaque leggings. The second photo has my new jacket/blazer/thingy with slight shoulder detailing; it's a little poof, better pictures to come. It also has my high-waisted faux-leather skirt (looove!).

All-in-all, a pretty successful shopping day!

Hey guys! This is my 199th post and as such I am dedicating it to my favourite looks since the creation of the blog. "But Stacy, why not your 200th post?" Well I'm glad you asked, readers, because tomorrow I'm going shopping with Anna (crossing my fingers I find what I'm looking for) and plan on showing you those special things in my 200th (that's right, I have this planned out...).
Anyways, depending on how long you've been with me here you may or may not remember some of these. I remember the day the last photo was taken, it had poured rain right before the pictures were taken and my hair and bangs were stick-stick straight. Ugh. Anyhoo, I had a few others I wanted to add but I was trying to keep the list short so here it is. Do any of you have any "favourite looks" on your blog? If so, leave a link because I'd love to see it!

A new beginning

Did my philosophy exam today - means I am all done with my first semester! I'm volunteering tomorrow, hanging out with a friend Thursday then working that night, sleeping in aaaaall of Friday! Sounds glorious!

I'm capsized staring on the edge of safe

Finished my english exam about three hours ago, it went pretty well! The reading comp. was super easy (we had prepared for it in class all week) and at first the essay was a little shaky because I wasn't sure what book to write it on but it turned out alright as well.

Write now I'm just relaxing, taking a breather before continuing to study for my philosophy exam Monday. That one will be.... well, let's just say it'll be a "make or break" type of mark. Speaking of which, I want to watch "Make it or Break it" now. Fortunately, I'm watching Golden Girls at this very moment! Dorothy's lesbian friend Jean is visiting.

Anyways, this is what I wore to write my exam:


These were another Christmas gift from my father but we had to return them because they were about half a size too small. I just love the crazy colours and patterns! I'm going to be changing the laces to either the orange or the purple ones... maybe both?

This is my cat, Catrina. She kept trying to sneak into the pictures so I just took one of her.

Your huddled masses yearning to be free

These shoes ending up killing my feet by the end of the day. They're a tad small so that could be a contributing factor but the last time they were in the store, about half a year ago, they didn't have any even close to my size so I couldn't pass them up again! "No pain, no gain" right?

Just finished watching Golden Girls (I'm obsessed now), watching CSI, should be studying. My english exam is tomorrow and I haven't looked over any notes; though in truth, I don't have any notes. I really just have to memorize quotes from the books, not too difficult. Philosophy on Monday, that should be.. interesting. Well, I know what my weekend will be like.

New heroes will rise

First exam is day after tomorrow (english) and tomorrow is considered a.. "come if you want" type of school day (I'm not kidding! My own english teacher said she doesn't expect everyone to come because we will be home studying). I'm still going to go though I might leave a little early, hahaha. Probably take a "long lunch."

Anyhoo, I got asked by two people if my feet were bleeding because the last time I wore these tights I wore my red heels from Le Chateau and the colour sort of rubbed off. Fail.

Oh jeez, I have got to stop eating instant noodles... but they're sooo good! Any of you have any food addictions?

I was wishing Saturday's moon would last

My first exam is this Friday, last one Monday (luckily I only have two.. some of my friends have none though!! Not fair) and I could not be more excited to just get them over with. My english teacher is advising us to eat lots of chocolate before our exam -but not enough to throw up- and to chant quotes before we go in.

Found this sweater in my dad's closet, asked for it/demanded it by saying he doesn't wear long sleeves. It's oversized and the sleeves are a few inches too long but it's super comfy!



I have to go study terms and philosophers now... tell me readers, do any of you have special studying techniques? I still don't have one (I just repeat aloud until I can remember it...) so I'm wondering what works for you? What doesn't?

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was spent working, finishing my philosophy summative and cleaning my room (that was horrible!). At lunch, I got these little apple danish things (as shown in the pictures) that are to die for! Sooo delicious!

Just watching "Golden Girls" right now; I've become obsessed. Blanche is too funny and Rose reminds me of a friend of mine. I love them so much.

We all have to love someone but we never said each other

My philosophy summative got moved from tomorrow to Monday... thank goodness. On doing work, I'm going to start working out more / actually working out. Luckily I'm tall so a few extra pounds isn't very obvious but prom is just around the corner (aka 5 months) and I think that's a reasonable amount of time to set a goal for. The only thing is, I like to run and I like stomach and leg exercises and that's it. I also find it ridiculously boring. So my question for you is: do you have a workout routine? If so, is it always the same thing or do you mix it up? Do you find it effective?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those "sit on the couch and eat chocolate bar after chocolate bar" type of people but I'm not "Oh it's five am, got to go running!" either. I don't want to get thin, I want to get fit. Make sense? Ugh I'm just ranting now...

A preview for the movie "Legion" just played. I want to see that movie so bad. Anyways, I really didn't do anything exciting today. Took pictures of my friend for her photography summative, napped through Hamlet, played cards and made cold Kraft Dinner. Fail.

I read way too much tumblr now though. I keep finding better and better ones and am getting addicted. Oh well.
