Killer season

Summer seems to be appearing here in the city and I hope it decides to stay. There's nothing better than being on a patio with a beer on a hot summer afternoon. However, if I ever get a job, I'll probably be working as much as possible this summer. Here's to hoping!

Afternoon outfit + Q&A

Here are the questions and answers of the Q&A:

1) How do you get your hair so curly?
My hair is actually naturally curly, though I do use Pantene's curl enhancing shampoo/conditioner 2-1 and their curl control gel, just to keep frizz to a minimum.

2) If you could be invisible for 24 hours, what would you do with your day?
I would do illegal things while naked.

3) How many piercings do you have?
Four - my ear lobes, my nose, my lip, and my tongue.

4) How old are you?
I'm nineteen, turning twenty in August.

5) Are you in school?
I'll be attending college this summer for "General Arts and Science - Media and Communication."

6) Do you live alone?
No, I live with my father (hence why you read "my apartment"), and visit my mother on weekends.

7) What are your top five favourite movies?
This is really tricky! I'd say the Harry Potter series, Gone in 60 Seconds, Braveheart, Serenity and Empire Records.

Dirty deeds done dirt cheap

It took me about 10 minutes to get this damn garter on. Even though I'm just sitting around my apartment today, sometimes having sexy pieces on (ie le garter) can really change the mood of your day. Also, how awesome is it that this dress is basically shapeless with two massive pockets in the front? A new favourite.

Casual cargos

I wore this casual outfit just to lounge around my house today. I haven't fit into these pants in nearly a year - don't you love when old clothes that were once too small fit you like a glove now? I think that is one of the small pleasures in life.

I'd also just like to take this time to say a massive thank you to everyone who has left such sweet comments and to all my new followers! You guys are incredible and totally make blogging worthwhile! Shades of green

So, with the editor on my computer, I crop every photo to the same width. I then upload them to photobucket and change the size to 800x600 for all of them. And yet... this shit happens. I have NO idea what's going on with the photographs or why they're all different widths and jumping all over the place. I am not computer savvy at all, so I ask that you bear with me until I can figure this out.

Summer nights, having a blast

Sing it out loud

I wore this outfit last night to go to a coffeehouse where local bands played great music. It was a lot of fun and I'll definitely have to go to these types of things more often. There was good music, good company and good beer - what else could you ask for on a Saturday night?

Do blondes have more fun?

So, if you follow me on Twitter here, you know I spent have my day dyeing my hair. I must admit, I am very happy with the results. Very Marilyn Monroe-esque. It only took three trips to the store and four showers. I must admit, I there was a little more wiggle in my walk today when I wore this out. I have to wonder: do blondes really do have more fun?

I'm also beginning to get more into fitness and I'm starting to actually enjoy going to the gym. What are some of your favourite exercises?

Pretty in Pink

Some days, you just need to wear some neon pink to brighten up your day. I got this skirt this past weekend and don't ever plan to part with it.

My days lately have been very relaxed. Baking, watching television, reading, blogging.. I've been applying for job after job and finally seem to have *maybe* gotten lucky! I'll let you all know how it turns out.

I'm also constantly pinning back half my hair (like in these photos) attempting a "Mad Men" look. I'm totally digging it, though.

Hold me 'till the sunlight shows

Finally a post including my feet! I wore this to run some errands this evening - casual chic? I've owned this blazer/cardigan for a couple years now and it's definitely one of my favourite articles of clothing. I feel like it instantly gives a bit of structure to any outfit.

I absolutely love these American Apparel shorts! They're possibly the comfiest shorts I have ever owned. I paired it with a thrifted oversized button-up shirt and an arm party a-la Man Repeller.
